Linked to the Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of São Paulo (IEA-USP), promoted by the newspaper Folha de São Paulo and the University of São Paulo, under  is coordinated by the professor emeritus of the UFRJ (University Federal do Rio de Janeiro) Muniz Sodré and with research theme  "Being Brazilian Today: Diversity and Democracy".

The Chair's project provides for the creation of a center for research and dissemination of knowledge on the role of communication, especially journalism, for the maintenance and constant strengthening of democracy, including the rights of minorities and against different types of discrimination, as well as other related phenomena, such as the new populisms, which threaten the democratic rule of law.

  • Comparative Constitutional Jurisdiction Research Center (CPJC) of the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UniRio);

  • Research Laboratory of Brazilian Constitutional Jurisdiction (LPJCB) at UFRRJ

The results of these international debate forums and the research and dialogues fostered are documented through the publications of our team and those of the Institute, in addition to the projects developed for the public and private sector within our objectives and mission.
